Front Suspension Coil Spring Seat Insulator (Lower, RH/LH)
This spring seat isolator pad sits in the lower control arm under the front coil spring. It cushions metal contact, centers the spring, and restores quiet, stable ride on Toyota vans. Quality EPDM rubber resists heat, oil, and road salt for long service life.
Why this part is needed
It prevents squeaks and clunks, protects the spring seat from wear, and maintains correct ride height. By reducing vibration (NVH), it improves comfort, braking stability, and helps tires wear evenly.
How it works ⚙️
The coil’s pigtail nests in the molded groove of the pad. Under load, the insulator spreads force and blocks metal-to-metal contact. It keeps the spring indexed to the stop so the coil doesn’t rotate or walk—on both right and left sides.
If worn or broken ⚠️
You may hear creaks over bumps, feel a harsher ride, and notice steering wander. Uneven tire wear, chipped spring paint, damaged arm pockets, or even cracked coils can follow if ignored.
Tech tips
Replace in pairs, mark spring orientation, seat the pigtail to the stop, torque fasteners at ride height, and treat the pocket with anti-corrosion spray.
