Left-Hand Anchor Arm for Front Suspension βοΈ
This heavy-duty LH anchor arm is a key link in the front suspension of your 4x4. It keeps wheel geometry stable under load, maintains precise caster/camber, and transfers braking and cornering forces to the chassis. Built for big SUVs, it resists twist, flex, and rust, giving a confident, quiet ride on-road and off-road.
Why you need it
When this arm and its bushings are tight, the tire stays flat on the road, steering tracks straight, and shocks work efficiently. It protects tires from cupping and keeps alignment true, especially with heavy towing or rough tracks.
How it works
The arm pivots on silent bushings, linking the frame to the suspension assembly. It locates the wheel longitudinally and laterally, working with the stabilizer and lower arm to control movement. Adjustment cams (where fitted) fine-tune alignment after installation.
What happens if itβs worn or broken β οΈ
Clunks over bumps, wandering steering, brake shimmy, and uneven tire wear appear. Alignment wonβt hold, ride height may drift, and in severe cases metal-on-metal contact can damage brackets. Safety and braking distances suffer.
Tech notes & install tips β
- Always torque bolts at normal ride height.
- Replace cam bolts and nuts if corroded; use anti-seize.
- Inspect companion bushings and ball joints.
- Finish with a professional wheel alignment.
