    Parking Brake Shoe RH/Center No.2 for Toyota Trucks and Buses

    Why you need it

    This shoe keeps your vehicle locked when parked. Its friction lining grips the inside of the rear drum so the wheels cannot turn. Over time the lining wears, hardens, or becomes oily, and holding power drops. Fresh shoes restore strong, stable handbrake performance for hills, loading ramps, and inspections.

    How it works

    When you pull the lever, the cable moves an actuator that spreads this right-hand/center secondary shoe against the drum. The steel web supports a heat-resistant lining; springs return it, and a star adjuster sets the clearance. Correct arc and compound give consistent friction in wet, cold, or hot conditions, reducing noise and fade.

    What if it’s worn or broken ⚠️

    You’ll feel long lever travel, weak holding on slopes, scraping noises, vibration, or a burning smell. The drum may overheat or score, and the vehicle can roll away. Replace in pairs, clean the drum, check hardware, lightly lube pivots, and set the adjuster, then bed-in with short, gentle stops.
