Information
Left Tie Rod End for Toyota Steering System
This left-hand steering joint links the rack/relay rod to the wheel knuckle, keeping your Toyota tracking straight and your tires wearing evenly. Built for tough duty, it delivers precise toe control on-road and off-road.
Why you need it
A healthy tie rod end holds alignment, improves steering feel, and protects tires and suspension. It prevents shimmy, keeps lane changes predictable, and maintains brake stability under load.
How it works
A hardened ball stud sits in a greased socket with a sealed boot. The tapered pin locks into the knuckle, while the threaded shank connects to the rack end/adjusting sleeve. A jam nut sets toe. The joint pivots smoothly as the suspension moves, transmitting steering input with minimal play.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
Expect loose or wandering steering, clunks over bumps, uneven or feathered tire wear, and a crooked steering wheel. Severe wear can let the stud separate—sudden loss of steering control. Replace promptly; always perform a wheel alignment after installation. Use new cotter pin and torque to spec. If the boot is torn or grease leaks, change it before damage spreads.
Built for durability
Forged housing, heat-treated ball pin, corrosion-resistant finish, and a tight dust boot ensure long service in harsh climates.
