A hardened ball stud rides in a lowβfriction socket, sealed by a dust boot. The tapered pin locks into the knuckle with a castle nut and cotter pin, while the threaded shank adjusts toe on the inner rod. Proper lubrication and sealing keep the joint quiet and tight.
