Information

Precision Steering Tie Rod End Assembly (RH/LH)

This premium steering tie rod end assembly restores tight, accurate control to your front wheels. It links the rack-and-pinion or steering linkage to the steering knuckle, translating steering wheel input into precise wheel angle. Built to OE geometry and taper, it fits seamlessly and resists play, corrosion, and road shock for long service life.

Why you need it βœ…

Over time, ball studs and sockets wear, boots crack, and grease dries out. That creates slack in the joint, causing vague steering, uneven tire wear, and shaky handling. Replacing the assembly brings your vehicle back to factory steering feel and protects your tires and suspension.

How it works

A hardened ball stud pivots inside a greased socket while a sealed boot keeps dirt out. The tie rod adjusts toe alignment and transmits force from the steering system to the wheel knuckle, turning the wheel smoothly under load.

When it’s failing ⚠️

Clunks on bumps, steering wander, off-center wheel, feathered tires, or torn boot with grease leak. If it breaks, you can lose directional controlβ€”park immediately and repair.

Pro tips

Replace in pairs when possible, torque to spec, align after install, and recheck jam nuts. Never reuse damaged cotter pins.
