Power Steering Reservoir-to-Pump Hose ️

This hydraulic feed line supplies fluid from the steering fluid tank to the pump. It’s a low-pressure suction hose engineered with molded curves to prevent kinks and keep the pump primed. A healthy hose means quiet steering, smooth wheel feel, and longer pump life.

Why you need it ✅

The pump cannot pull fluid through a cracked, collapsed, or air-leaking line. This hose ensures steady flow, prevents aeration, and maintains correct assist at parking and highway speeds.

How it works ⚙️

The pump draws fluid through this line, then pushes it under pressure to the steering gear. Oil-resistant inner lining handles ATF, while fabric reinforcement resists vacuum collapse. Factory bends keep clearance from belts and heat.

When it fails

Expect fluid leaks, whine on cold starts, heavy steering, foamy reservoir, and possible pump damage from cavitation. Leaked fluid can soften hoses, attract dirt, and create a fire risk on hot parts.

Tech notes

Replace aged clamps, route exactly like OEM, and use fluid specified in the owner’s manual. Inspect pump inlet barb for scoring. Do not substitute generic fuel hose—use proper power steering suction hose.
