Left Steering Knuckle (Front Suspension)

This left-side steering knuckle is a critical front-end part that links your wheel hub, ball joint, strut, and tie-rod into one strong pivot point. Itโ€™s needed to keep the front wheel aligned, carry vehicle weight, and allow smooth steering while the suspension moves up and down โš™๏ธ.

How It Works

The knuckle acts like the โ€œhingeโ€ of the front corner. The hub/bearing mounts into it, the strut bolts to it, and the lower ball joint supports it. When you turn the steering wheel, the tie-rod pushes or pulls the knuckle, rotating the wheel precisely. Its casting strength helps control camber and toe stability under braking and cornering.

Why Replacement Matters

Common Failure Causes

Impact from potholes, curb hits, accidents, worn bearings spinning in the bore, or corrosion can crack, bend, or oval the mounting surfaces.

What Happens If Itโ€™s Damaged

A faulty knuckle can cause pulling, uneven tire wear, steering vibration, ABS sensor issues, and clunking noises. In severe cases, wheel alignment cannot be set correctly, and handling becomes unsafe . Replacing it restores proper steering geometry and safe road feel.
