Rear Axle Bearing Inner Lock Ring (RH/LH)

Why this part is needed

This steel collar locks the rear wheel bearing to the axle shaft, keeps the seal in the correct position, and controls end‑play. It holds everything tight under load, so your axle stays centered, quiet, and leak‑free ️.

How it works

The ring is heated or pressed onto the axle after the bearing and spacer are in place. Once seated, it grips the inner race with high interference, preventing rotation and movement. It works together with the bearing, ABS tone ring (if equipped), and oil seal to maintain alignment and keep differential oil where it belongs.

What happens if it’s damaged

If the ring cracks, loosens, or spins, the bearing can shift. You may hear humming, feel wheel play, see oil at the backing plate, get brake drag, or trigger an ABS light. In severe cases the axle may walk out, causing loss of drive and rapid seal failure ⚠️. Replace at every bearing service—never reuse a removed ring.

Tech notes

Fits right or left side. Requires a press and proper support. Confirm seal land orientation, check axle vent, and re‑torque fasteners for long life ️.
