Rear Axle Bearing Case (RH/LH) ️
This rear axle bearing case is a key housing piece that supports and locates the rear wheel bearing on the axle end. It is needed to keep the bearing seated firmly, maintain correct axle alignment, and help the rear hub rotate smoothly under heavy load. Without a solid case, the bearing cannot hold its position, and the axle assembly starts to shift.
How It Works ⚙️
The case fits around the rear axle bearing and acts like a rigid cradle. It keeps the bearing square to the axle shaft, manages side loads during cornering, and helps the seal area stay true so grease stays in and dirt stays out. On both right-hand and left-hand sides, it provides stable support for long service life.
Signs of Failure & What Happens If Broken
If the case cracks, wears, or deforms, the bearing can loosen, causing humming noises, vibration, uneven tire wear, and oil/grease leaks. Continued driving may lead to overheating, axle end-play, damaged seals, and in severe cases wheel wobble or bearing collapse—risking hub and axle damage.
