Upper Front Differential Mount Stopper
Why it’s needed
This small part does a big job on a heavy 4x4. Under throttle, the front differential wants to twist. The stopper limits that movement, keeping CV joint angles correct, reducing vibration, and protecting the crossmember and mounts. It keeps the driveline quiet, tight, and aligned during towing, off‑road climbs, and daily driving.
How it works
A rubber‑to‑metal bonded bushing acts like a controlled cushion between the diff housing and chassis. It compresses to absorb torque shock, then recenters to hold the differential in the right position. Proper durometer rubber with a steel inner sleeve filters NVH while maintaining precise location. It installs as a direct bolt‑in—no mods, just correct torque at ride height.

You’ll feel a clunk on take‑off and gear changes, nose lift of the diff under throttle, 4WD shudder, and steering vibration. Ignoring it can lead to torn mounts, cracked brackets, misaligned prop shaft, accelerated CV joint and seal wear, and even fluid leaks.
