Rear Differential Mount Bushing for Subaru AWD

This precision bushing secures the rear differential to the subframe and filters noise, vibration, and harshness. It keeps the diff centered under torque, so the driveshaft and axles stay in correct alignment. Built with high‑grade rubber bonded to a steel sleeve, it resists oil, road salt, and heat for long service life.

Why this part is needed

During acceleration and gear changes, the differential twists. The bushing absorbs that movement, protecting mounts, CV joints, and gears. It prevents driveline shudder and keeps the pinion angle stable for smooth, quiet cruising.

How it works

The inner sleeve clamps to the diff bracket while the outer shell sits in the crossmember. The rubber layer flexes just enough to cushion impact loads yet holds firm under AWD torque.

When the bushing fails

Expect clunks on takeoff, thumps over bumps, vibration at speed, shifter jerk, uneven tire wear, and accelerated wear of U‑joints/CV joints. Prolonged use can crack mounts and stress the diff housing.

Tech notes ️

Replace in pairs when possible. Torque bolts at ride height. Check companion mounts and diff fluid after installation.
