Information
Rear Upper Left Suspension Control Arm Assembly
This suspension arm is a key link between the rear wheel knuckle and the vehicle body. It is needed to keep the wheel aligned while the suspension moves up and down over bumps. A healthy arm helps the car track straight, keeps tyre wear even, and supports stable braking and cornering.
How It Works βοΈ
The arm pivots through bonded rubber bushes (or joints, depending on setup). These pivots let the suspension travel smoothly while holding the correct camber and toe angles. During acceleration, braking, and turns, it controls unwanted wheel movement so the rear end stays planted.
When It Fails
If the arm is bent or the bushes are torn, you may feel rear-end wandering, clunks over potholes, vibration, or uneven/fast tyre wear. In severe cases the wheel alignment cannot be set correctly, handling becomes unpredictable, and extra load can damage tyres, hubs, and other suspension parts.
