Transfer Case PTO Cover for Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4
This precision cover seals the power take-off opening on the transfer case. It keeps gear oil in and dust, water, and mud out, protecting gears and bearings. How it works ⚙️
The plate bolts to the PTO port with a gasket or O-ring. Its flat, machined face and reinforced ribs clamp evenly, locking in the oil bath and blocking contaminants. By stabilizing the housing pressure, it supports smooth 4x4 engagement and steady drivetrain temperatures.

Expect gear oil drips, wet crossmember, and burning oil smell. You may hear whining or feel vibration as bearings run dry. Dirt intrusion accelerates chain and gear wear; ignoring it can lead to seized bearings and full transfer case failure—an expensive repair.
Build & install tips
OEM-grade steel with anti-corrosion coating. Clean mating surfaces, use a fresh seal, apply a thin RTV film at corners, and torque bolts in a cross pattern. Refill with spec GL gear oil and check the breather for blockages. Simple, reliable, long-life fix.
