    Automatic Transmission Valve Body Oil Strainer for Toyota SUVs & Trucks ⚙️

    Why this part is needed

    This transmission oil strainer keeps ATF clean as it enters the valve body and pump. By trapping clutch dust and tiny metal particles, it protects shift solenoids, pressure circuits, and the pump. Clean flow means crisp gear changes, stable line pressure, lower temps, and longer gearbox life .

    How it works

    Mounted at the valve body inlet, a fine mesh and shaped chamber filter incoming fluid. As ATF is drawn by the pump, debris is held in the screen while the strainer maintains even flow to the valve body passages. Proper sealing at the pickup O-ring prevents aeration and pressure loss.

    What happens if it’s bad

    Clogged or torn media causes delayed or harsh shifts, flare between gears, shudder, slip, and overheating. You may see low line pressure, “limp” mode, or solenoid/pressure codes. Running with a damaged screen can starve the pump, score the valve body, and contaminate the whole unit—leading to costly rebuilds ❗

    Tech notes & install tips

    Service the strainer during pan drops or after any overheating event. Keep the pan spotless, replace the gasket/O-ring, torque fasteners evenly, and prime with fresh, correct Toyota-specified ATF (T‑IV or WS as applicable). After refill, verify level and check for clean, positive shifts ✅.
