High-Precision Transmission Output Oil Seal

This factory-grade seal keeps transmission fluid inside the case and road grit outside. It protects the output/axle interface, holds hydraulic pressure for smooth shifts (or CVT ratio changes), and preserves lubrication. A healthy seal prevents leaks, overheating, and costly gearbox wear.

Why you need it ️

Without a tight barrier, ATF escapes and contaminants enter. Proper sealing keeps bearings, clutches, and chains/belts bathed in clean fluid, ensuring quiet, efficient operation and long life.

How it works βš™οΈ

A heat‑resistant elastomer lip with a garter spring hugs the rotating shaft. It creates a thin oil film that seals under pressure while allowing rotation. The metal shell presses into the housing for a rigid, leak‑free fit.

If the seal fails ⚠️

Expect red fluid drips, wet subframe, burning smell, shudder, slipping, and gear/CVT noise. Low fluid can overheat the unit, damaging bearings and clutches. Fix early to avoid a rebuild.

Pro tips βœ…

  • Inspect and polish the shaft surface; deep grooves require a sleeve.
  • Lightly oil the lip; seat the seal square and flush.
  • Torque axle/hub fasteners to spec to prevent runout.
