How it works ️
Brake fluid from the master fills the cylinder. When you press the pedal, hydraulic pressure moves the piston, pushing the rod against the release fork and separating the clutch plates. A bleed screw lets you purge air for a firm pedal.
What happens when it fails ❗
Spongy or sinking pedal, hard gear engagement, grinding into reverse, fluid on the bellhousing, or frequent re-bleeding. Left unchecked, you’ll face clutch drag, overheated disc, and possible gearbox damage.
