Check Valve for Cleaner Pump System ??
This small but vital valve is used in the cleaner/washer pump line to keep fluid moving in the correct direction. It is needed to maintain quick spray response and to stop washer fluid from draining back into the tank after you release the switch.
How It Works
Inside the valve is a one-way control mechanism. When the pump pushes fluid, the valve opens and lets the cleaner fluid pass to the nozzle. When the pump stops, it closes instantly, holding pressure in the line and preventing reverse flow. This helps the system prime faster and reduces pump strain.
What Happens If It’s Broken ⚠️
- Washer spray delayed or weak, especially after sitting overnight
- Fluid drains back, causing repeated long priming
- Pump works harder and may become noisy or fail early
