CV Axle Outer Boot Kit for Subaru
This kit seals the outer CV joint on the front drive shaft. It keeps high‑moly grease in and blocks water, salt, and dust. Use it when the old rubber is cracked, split, or leaking grease on the wheel well. Replacing the boot early saves the CV joint and avoids a full axle replacement.
How it works ⚙️
The flexible bellows sits over the outer CV joint. It moves with steering and suspension travel. Strong clamps lock the boot to the shaft and the joint. Fresh grease inside the boot lubricates the bearings so the joint runs cool and quiet.
What happens if it fails
A torn boot throws grease out and lets grit in. You may hear clicking on turns, feel vibration on takeoff, and see black grease around the rim. Running it dry quickly wears the joint, which can lead to play, noise, and costly axle replacement.
