    Why you need it

    This small filter guards the automatic gearbox by trapping clutch dust, metal fines, and varnish before fluid reaches the cooler and valve body. Clean ATF flows better, removes heat faster, and protects solenoids and bearings. Using an ATF cooler filter (ref: 2824A006) helps stabilize shift quality and extend transmission life .

    How it works

    Mounted in the cooler circuit line, the pleated micro-media captures particles at high flow. A robust, corrosion-resistant can and high-temp seals resist pressure and heat. Some units include a relief path to maintain flow if the media nears saturation. Correct orientation matters: follow the flow arrow for proper operation.

    What if it fails

    Clogging raises fluid temperature, causing harsh or delayed shifts, shudder, pump whine, and possible limp mode. Broken media lets debris recirculate, wearing the torque converter and valve body. Leaking seals drop ATF level, leading to slip, overheating, and costly damage. Replace during every major ATF service for safe temperatures ♨️.
