How it works

Installed on the right rear, this assembly combines a clear lens, precision reflector, and bulb/LED seat in a sealed housing. When you shift to R, the body control module powers the lamp through a tight 2‑pin plug. The optics spread a clean white beam low and wide so people and obstacles notice the car quickly.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

A cracked or cloudy lens cuts light output, the rear camera image gets darker, and water can enter, corroding the socket. You may see fogging, flicker, or total failure, risking a test fail and unsafe night reversing. Snapped tabs let the lamp rattle and can mark the paint.
