Information

Clearance Lamp Socket Assembly (Replacement)

This small but critical socket assembly holds the clearance/position bulb firmly and delivers stable power to it. On many vehicles, clearance lamps are your “always on” visibility lights at dusk, rain, fog, and parking—so a healthy socket is a safety must ✅.

Why this part is needed

The bulb can only work as well as its connection. This socket provides the correct contact pressure, keeps the bulb aligned, and seals the connection area to reduce moisture and corrosion. A tight, clean socket also prevents heat build-up that can damage the lamp housing.

How it works

The harness plugs into the rear of the socket, sending power and ground to internal terminals. When the bulb is inserted and locked (twist-fit),the terminals touch the bulb base, completing the circuit and lighting the clearance lamp ?.

What happens if it’s broken

A worn or melted socket may cause intermittent lighting, fast bulb failures, flickering, or a complete no-light condition. Corroded contacts increase resistance, creating heat that can warp the connector, trigger warning lights, or damage wiring over time ⚠️.
