Exhaust Valve Follower ⚙️

This precision valve train part is fitted between the camshaft lobe and the exhaust valve mechanism. It is needed to transfer camshaft movement smoothly, so the exhaust valves open and close at the correct time. Correct valve timing helps the engine breathe properly, keeps power stable, and supports clean fuel burning.

How It Works ?

When the camshaft rotates, its lobe presses on the follower. The follower then moves the exhaust valve as designed by the engine timing system. Its hardened surface reduces friction and wear while working under high heat, engine oil, and constant mechanical load.

Signs of a Worn or Broken Part ⚠️

If this component is damaged, the engine may produce ticking noise from the cylinder head, lose power, idle roughly, or show poor acceleration. In serious cases, incorrect valve movement can cause misfire, higher emissions, camshaft wear, or expensive cylinder head damage.
