Information

Crankshaft Signal Sensor βš™οΈ

This engine speed and position sensor is a vital part of the ignition and fuel injection system. It tells the ECU exactly where the crankshaft is and how fast it is turning. Without this signal, the engine computer cannot set correct spark timing or fuel delivery.

Why This Part Is Needed ?

The sensor helps the engine start quickly, idle smoothly, and run with proper power. It supports accurate timing, lower fuel use, and stable performance in city driving or highway speed.

How It Works ⚑

Mounted near the crankshaft trigger wheel, the sensor reads tooth movement and sends an electric pulse to the ECU. The ECU uses this data to control injectors, ignition coils, and engine synchronization.

Signs of a Broken Sensor ⚠️

If this sensor fails, the car may crank but not start, stall when hot, misfire, lose power, or show a check engine light. A weak signal can also cause hard starting and poor fuel economy.
