How It Works 🔧

When the ignition is switched on, the electric motor inside the pump builds fuel pressure in the line. Fuel is drawn through the strainer/filter, then pushed forward to the fuel rail. The engine ECU depends on steady pressure to spray the right fuel amount for combustion.

Signs of a Faulty Unit ⚠️

If this part becomes weak or blocked, the vehicle may crank longer, lose power on hills, hesitate during throttle, or stall when hot. A fully failed pump can stop the engine from starting at all. Driving with low fuel often can overheat the pump and shorten its life.
