OE HT Ignition Cable for Subaru – Reliable Spark Delivery ⚡
This high‑tension ignition lead connects the coil pack to the spark plug, carrying tens of thousands of volts to ignite the air‑fuel mix. Built for Subaru boxers, it resists heat, oil, and vibration, keeping your engine smooth and efficient .
Why you need it
A healthy HT cable ensures a strong, clean spark at every cycle. That means quick starts, steady idle, full power, better fuel economy, and reduced emissions. It also shields electronics from interference.
How it works
Inside is a resistive conductor that tames electromagnetic noise, wrapped in multi‑layer silicone insulation and sealed boots. Each pulse from the coil (20–40 kV) travels through the core, the terminal grips the plug, and the boot locks out moisture for a stable spark in all conditions.
If it fails ❗
Cracked insulation, high resistance, or loose boots cause misfires, hard starts, rough idle, hesitation, poor fuel economy, and a blinking MIL (P030x). Arcing at night, a ticking sound, or a burnt smell are common. Prolonged misfire can overheat the coil and damage the catalytic converter.
Tech tips
Route via factory clips, avoid sharp bends, seat boots fully, use a dab of dielectric grease, and replace cables as a set for balanced resistance.
