Subaru HT Ignition Cable — Reliable Spark Delivery ?

This high‑tension ignition lead feeds the spark plug with strong, clean voltage so your Subaru starts fast and runs smooth. Sized to OE routing, it keeps the flat‑four firing evenly under heat, vibration, and moisture.

Why you need it ?

Healthy ignition wiring means stable idle, crisp throttle, better fuel economy, and lower emissions. A tired lead can leak energy, raise resistance, and waste coil output, especially under load or in wet weather.

How it works

The cable carries 20–40 kV from the coil pack to the plug through a low‑resistance core. Thick silicone insulation and EPDM boots seal against heat and oil. EMI‑suppression windings cut radio noise, while snap‑fit terminals lock onto posts to prevent arc‑over.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Misfire at idle or acceleration, hard starts, poorer MPG, and a flashing MIL (codes P0300–P0304). You may see nighttime arcing or smell ozone. Long-term driving like this can overheat the catalytic converter and overload the coil.

Tech tips

Replace one lead at a time, match length and cylinder, route on factory clips, and use a dab of dielectric grease in the boots. Always seat until you feel a positive click.
