Information

Ignition Distributor Assembly for Nissan Engines ⚑

This ignition distributor unit is a key part of the spark system on many classic Nissan petrol engines. It is needed to send high voltage to the correct spark plug at the exact moment the engine needs it. Without accurate spark timing, the engine cannot run smooth, save fuel, or produce full power.

How It Works ?

The distributor is driven by the engine and rotates in sync with the camshaft. Inside, it triggers ignition timing and directs the coil’s high voltage through the cap and rotor to each cylinder in firing order. A healthy unit keeps spark delivery stable during idle, acceleration, and high RPM.

What Happens If It Fails ?

When worn or damaged, you may get hard starting, misfire, shaking idle, weak acceleration, backfiring, or sudden stalling. In severe cases the engine may crank but not start at all. Long-term driving with a faulty distributor can overload the ignition coil, foul spark plugs, and increase fuel consumption.
