Lower Radiator Hose – OEM fit for smooth cooling
Why this part is needed
This molded coolant hose links the radiator outlet to the water pump inlet. It returns cooled antifreeze to the engine, closing the loop of the cooling system. A fresh hose keeps flow stable, prevents leaks, and protects the engine from heat stress and costly damage.
How it works
When the thermostat opens, the water pump draws coolant through this lower hose from the radiator. The hose’s precise bends keep it clear of belts and fans, while reinforced EPDM rubber and an anti‑collapse coil maintain shape under suction at high RPM. Correct inner diameter and beaded ends ensure tight clamp sealing.
What happens if it fails
Cracks, swelling, or soft spots can cause coolant loss, overheating, steam, sweet odor, and warning lights . A collapsed hose restricts flow, leading to hot spots, weak cabin heat, warped heads, or a seized engine. Replace at the first sign of leaks, bulges, or aged rubber.

Use new clamps, clean necks, seat fully on the beads, and bleed air after refill. Heat, oil, and ozone resistant; smooth inner wall for efficient flow.
