Engine Thermostat Assembly – Stable Coolant Temperature ️

This OEM-grade coolant control unit keeps your Nissan engine in the safe, efficient heat zone. It shortens warm-up, improves fuel economy, protects the cylinder head, and gives steady cabin heat. Built to factory spec with a precise wax-pellet actuator and tight-seal valve, it delivers reliable temperature control in daily traffic and highway runs.

Why this part is needed

Engines work best at a narrow temperature range. A quality thermostat helps cut wear, reduces oil sludge, limits emissions, and prevents power loss. It also protects the radiator and water pump by keeping flow correct from cold start to full load.

How it works

When cold, the valve stays shut, routing coolant inside the block for a fast warm-up. At the calibrated point, the wax expands, the valve opens, and coolant flows to the radiator. The result: stable operating temperature under all conditions.

If it fails

Stuck open: slow warm-up, weak heater, high fuel use, rich running. Stuck closed: overheating, boiling coolant, warped head, blown gasket. Intermittent action: temp swings, rough drive, warning light.

Tech tips

Install with a new seal, clean mating surfaces, torque evenly, refill with correct coolant, and bleed air. Check fans and cap if overheating persists.
