This gasket locks the hot gas path between the exhaust manifold and turbo. A tight seal keeps energy driving the turbine, so boost builds fast and power stays consistent. It also blocks fumes, soot, and heat from leaking into the engine bay, protecting nearby hoses and wiring.

Sitting between the turbo flange and manifold, the multi‑layer steel (MLS) core compresses when you torque the fasteners, creating a gas‑tight fire ring. Heat‑resistant facing handles extreme temps and constant heat cycles. Correct port geometry keeps flow smooth, reducing turbulence and preventing flange distortion over time.
