Premium Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head Seal

Keep your engine breathing right and your cabin quiet. This high-temp exhaust manifold head seal locks hot gases inside the manifold, preserving torque, throttle response, and emission accuracy. A fresh seal prevents soot buildup in the bay and protects nearby components from heat .

Why this part is needed

Between the cylinder head and exhaust manifold there’s a precision joint. The seal closes micro gaps, so exhaust pulses don’t escape before the upstream oxygen sensor can read them. Proper sealing maintains backpressure, keeps fuel trims stable, and avoids exhaust odor in the cabin.

How it works

A multilayer steel/graphite core compresses under proper torque. It conforms to surface irregularities, resists heat cycling and corrosion, and holds clamp load to stop leaks through thousands of heat-up/cool-down cycles.

What happens if it’s broken

Cold-start ticking, rotten smell, visible soot near the flange, reduced low-end power, higher fuel use, and possible warning lights due to skewed O2 readings. Long term, leaks can burn nearby parts and warp the manifold.

Pro install tips βœ…

Clean both faces to bare metal, check flatness, use new nuts/studs, and torque in sequence from center outward. Never reuse a crushed seal; inspect the manifold for cracks before refit.
