    Why this part is needed

    How it works

    What happens if it fails

    Common signs are cold-start squeal, metallic chirp, wobble, rough spin, or belt glazing. If ignored, the belt can fray or snap, causing loss of charging, heavy steering, no A/C, and even engine overheating ⚠️. Bearing seizure can also damage the tensioner and other pulleys.

    Tech notes
