OEM-Grade Exhaust Manifold Seal

Keep your Mitsubishi’s exhaust tight, quiet, and efficient with this OEM-grade manifold-to-cylinder-head seal. Built for high heat and pressure, it prevents gas leaks at the manifold joint, protecting power, fuel economy, and nearby components. Multi-layer steel with heat-resistant coating delivers long life in tough off-road and towing use.

Why you need it ️

The exhaust manifold gasket seals the hot gas path as it leaves the engine. A healthy seal keeps correct backpressure, protects the turbo (where fitted), reduces noise, and stops fumes from entering the cabin. It also helps the ECU read sensors properly for clean combustion.

How it works ⚙️

Mounted between the head and manifold, the gasket compresses under bolt torque, filling micro gaps. Its layered steel core resists warping, while the coating maintains grip during heat cycles, preventing blow-by and hot spot erosion.

When it fails ⚠️

Expect cold-start ticking, strong exhaust smell, soot marks around the flange, loss of low-end torque, poor turbo spool, higher fuel use, and possible sensor codes. Prolonged leaks can burn valves, warp the manifold, and damage studs.

Install tips

  • Clean both mating surfaces; remove old residue.
  • Use new hardware if studs/nuts are heat-tired.
  • Tighten in sequence to spec; recheck after heat cycle.
  • Inspect manifold for cracks or warp before refit.
