Engine Oil Pressure Control Regulator Assembly
Why you need it ️
This unit keeps engine oil pressure in the safe zone, so bearings, camshafts, lifters, and VVT circuits receive steady lubrication. It protects during cold starts, high RPM, off‑road angles, and heavy towing, preventing foaming and wear.
How it works
Inside is a precision spring-and-plunger relief valve. When pump output rises above the set point, the valve opens and redirects excess oil back to the return gallery. When pressure drops, it closes to maintain flow to critical parts. Calibrated clearances and a tempered spring ensure fast response across temperature changes.
If it fails ⚠️
Warning lamp flickers, ticking lifters, VVT errors, rough idle, metallic knock, and oil aeration can appear. Long term, expect accelerated bearing wear, cam scuffing, turbo damage, leaks, and possible engine seizure.
