Why this part is needed

The rocker cover area is constantly splashed with hot oil while the engine breathes and builds crankcase pressure. This gasket creates a flexible, heat-resistant seal that stops oil seepage and helps keep dirt out of the valvetrain zone.

How it works

When the cover bolts are tightened to the correct torque, the gasket compresses evenly and fills small surface imperfections. It maintains sealing as the engine expands and contracts with temperature changes, reducing vibration-related leaks.

What happens if it’s broken
