Rocker/Valve Cover Seal for Infiniti Upper Engine ️

This cam/rocker cover gasket keeps engine oil inside the head and contaminants out. It’s critical for stable crankcase pressure, clean ignition wells, and a tidy engine bay. Designed for high-heat V6/V8 applications, it maintains a precise seal during thermal cycles and vibration, protecting the timing area and valvetrain.

Why this part is needed

A proper valve cover gasket prevents oil leaks around the cover rim and plug tubes. It supports correct PCV operation, avoids oil mist on hot exhaust parts, and keeps coil packs dry for reliable spark.

How it works βš™οΈ

A molded elastomer profile compresses between the cover and cylinder head. When torqued in sequence, it forms a uniform barrier. Heat- and oil-resistant material resists hardening, seals corners and cam cap transitions, and partners with grommets to keep clamp load even.

What happens if it fails ️

  • Fresh oil along cover edge; burning smell or light smoke.
  • Oil in spark plug tubes β†’ misfire, rough idle, coil damage.
  • Low oil level over time β†’ chain noise, accelerated wear.
  • Oil on exhaust may be a fire risk; fouled O2 sensors/cats.

Pro install tips βœ…

  • Clean mating surfaces; use small RTV dabs at half-moons/corners.
  • Replace bolt grommets; torque in stages and sequence.
  • Inspect PCV and breather hoses; verify no leaks after warm-up.
