Subaru Engine Intake Valve — Premium Replacement
Why this part is needed
This intake valve controls fresh air-fuel flow into the cylinder and seals the chamber at compression. A tight seal keeps power strong, fuel use low, and emissions clean. It is a critical wear part in Subaru boxer engines, especially on high mileage cars or engines run hot.
How it works ⚙️
Driven by the cam, the valve opens the intake port, then closes by spring force. The precision-ground face seats against the head to hold compression. The stem runs in a guide with a seal to keep oil out. Heat-resistant steel and correct head angle ensure stable timing, smooth idle, and reliable cold starts .
What happens if it’s damaged ❗
Burnt or bent valve = misfire, loss of power, rough idle, backfire, hard starting, and low compression. Prolonged use can overheat the catalyst and even mark the piston. Replace at the first signs; always check seat condition, lash/clearance, spring height, and fit new stem seals. Clean carbon, torque to spec, and verify timing after install.
Built to OEM dimensions for proper stem diameter, keeper groove fit, and valve length, it works with stock retainers and springs for dependable sealing and long life.
