Engine Head Cover Gasket Set
This sealing kit is required to keep the top of the engine oil-tight where the cylinder head meets the valve/rocker cover. It stops oil leaks, keeps dirt out, and helps the crankcase breathing system work correctly ✅.
How it works
The gasket is compressed between the cover and the head, creating a flexible barrier that follows heat expansion and engine vibration. On many Honda engines it also seals around spark plug tubes and bolt grommets, so oil stays in the valvetrain area and does not travel into the plug wells .
Signs of a failing gasket
If the seal hardens or cracks, oil can seep onto the exhaust manifold causing a burnt-oil smell, smoke, and messy engine bay. Oil in spark plug wells may lead to misfire, rough idle, and damaged ignition coils. Continued driving can lower oil level, increase sludge, and accelerate wear ⚠️.
