Oversize 0.12 mm Crankshaft Thrust Bearing for Suzuki Engines βοΈ
Why you need it οΈ
This thrust bearing keeps the crankshaftβs endplay under control. It carries axial loads from the clutch, torque converter, and accessory belt pulls. With wear or after block/cap machining, axial clearance grows. The 0.12 mm oversize faces restore the correct endplay, stabilizing idle, smooth shifting, and protecting the block and gearbox input.
How it works
Mounted at the designated main journal, its flanged faces ride on an oil film and hold the crank from walking forward/back. Steel-backed with anti-friction overlay, it keeps a steady oil wedge under load. The oversize thrust faces are thicker, so you keep the standard journal size but recover the axial spec without extra machining.
What if it fails β
Expect crank walk, noisy scraping at idle, clutch drag, harsh shifts, wandering timing, and rear main seal leaks. Severe cases can chew the blockβs thrust seat, damage the flywheel, trigger misfires from sensor gap shift, and contaminate oil with metal.
Install notes β
Measure endplay with a dial indicator; set within factory spec. Lube faces, align oil grooves, torque caps in sequence, and recheck hot. Cleanliness is critical.
