Front Motor Mount for Nissan 4x4

This mount supports the engine at the front and keeps it steady under load. It isolates vibration so the cabin stays quiet and the drivetrain stays aligned. If you tow, climb trails, or drive rough roads, a healthy mount is vital for smooth starts, clean shifts, and long life of hoses, exhaust, and axles.

How it works

A rubber-and-metal assembly bolts to the subframe and engine bracket. The rubber core works in shear and compression, absorbing shake from firing pulses and road shocks. Some designs use voids or fluid to tune damping. Proper durometer rubber resists heat, oil, and torque twist from big inline or V engines.

What happens when it fails ⚠️

  • Harsh vibration at idle or in gear
  • Clunk when starting, shifting, or lifting off
  • Visible engine movement, fan or shroud rub
  • Premature wear of exhaust flex, hoses, and other mounts
  • Driveline misalignment and cracked brackets over time

Tech notes βœ…

  • Install with engine supported; torque fasteners at ride height
  • Replace in pairs for balance; inspect crossmember and rear mount
  • OE-grade rubber and steel ensure correct height and NVH control
