The gasket seals the joint between the aluminum valve cover and the cylinder head. Without a tight seal, oil escapes under pressure, leading to leaks, mess, and low oil level. It also keeps dirt out, helping camshafts, lifters, and timing areas run clean and quiet.
How it works βοΈ
The seal sits in a machined groove of the cover. When the cover bolts are torqued to spec, the gasket compresses evenly to create an oil-tight barrier. Integrated plug tube rings prevent oil from dripping into ignition wells, protecting coils and plugs for stable combustion.
