RH Cylinder Head Gasket for Mitsubishi V6 engines
This gasket seals the right-bank cylinder head to the engine block, locking in compression while separating oil and coolant passages. It is essential for clean combustion, stable temperature, and long engine life. Use it whenever the head is removed, after overheating, or during a top-end rebuild to restore factory sealing and performance.
How it works
Built as a multi-layer steel seal with reinforced fire rings, it withstands high pressure and heat cycles. The embossed layers conform to micro-uneven surfaces of the head and block, preventing cross-leaks. Correct clamp load from the head bolts keeps the seal tight under boost, load, and daily driving.
What happens if it fails β οΈ
Expect loss of compression, overheating, coolant loss, white exhaust smoke, bubbling in the radiator, oil-coolant mixing (milky oil), rough idle, and misfires. Continued driving can warp the head, damage the catalyst, and cause severe engine wear.
Replacement tips β
Check head and block flatness, clean all surfaces, use proper torque and sequence, and replace TTY bolts if specified. Bleed the cooling system and verify no combustion gases in coolant after installation.
