Front Brake Anti‑Squeal Shim Kit ️

Stop high‑pitch brake noise and protect your front disc system. This shim kit sits behind each pad and blocks metal‑to‑metal chatter that creates squeal. It keeps your braking smooth, quiet, and consistent in city traffic and off‑road use.

Why you need it

Brake pads vibrate when pressed against a hot, spinning rotor. That vibration turns into sound. Quality shims add damping and a low‑friction surface, cutting noise and micro‑vibrations that also wear pads and hardware. You get quieter stops and longer pad life.

How it works

Each plate uses spring‑tempered stainless steel with multi‑layer coating. The steel keeps shape under heat; the coating absorbs vibration and reduces stick‑slip. Some layers include heat‑resistant adhesive to bond pad to shim, stabilizing the pad under load. The result: less resonance, better pedal feel, and cleaner contact with the rotor.

What if the shims are worn or missing

Expect squeal, harsh pedal feedback, uneven pad wear, glazing, and hot spots on the rotor. In extreme cases you may feel steering shudder at low speed stops and see faster pad edge crumbling. Noise is the first sign—don’t ignore it.

Tech notes

  • Install on the back of front pads; follow inner/outer position marks.
  • Clean caliper bracket and pad ears; use high‑temp brake grease on contact points only.
  • Replace as a set during pad service for best results.
