Manual Gearbox Gasket & Seal Set for Precise, Leak‑Free Shifting ⚙️
Why you need it
This set refreshes every paper gasket, O‑ring, and oil seal inside the manual transmission. Over time heat, pressure, and old fluid harden the seals, causing seepage and poor shift feel. Replacing them during a rebuild restores tight clearances, keeps oil inside, and protects bearings, synchros, and gears ️.
How it works
Each gasket creates a flat, uniform barrier between housings and covers. Shaft seals hold back gear oil around the input, output, and selector shafts. O‑rings and washers close passages for lubrication and detents. Together they maintain correct oil level and pressure paths so the gearbox runs cool and shifts cleanly .
If seals fail
Expect wet cases, burning oil smell, whining bearings, hard or notchy shifts, and eventual gear damage. Low oil from leaks can blue synchros and pit gears. Ignoring it risks a costly rebuild.
Tech notes
Clean surfaces, check end play, use a thin non‑hardening sealant only where specified, and torque to spec. Pre‑lube lips, align selector shafts, and verify no leaks after a short road test.
