How it works

The pump pressurizes ATF, sending it through this line via banjo/flare fittings and crush washers. The rigid tube controls pulsation, while the flexible section absorbs engine movement. Fluid returns via a separate low-pressure hose.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Heavy steering (especially at idle),pump whine, foamy or low fluid, ATF spots under the car, and a hot/burning smell near the exhaust. Continued driving can overheat the pump, shed metal, and risk sudden loss of assist.

Pro install tips 🔧

Replace crush washers, torque fittings to spec, route in factory clips, and flush with the correct Toyota-approved ATF. Bleed air by turning lock-to-lock with wheels off the ground, engine off then on. Recheck for leaks.
