Why you need it 🛠️

It keeps both ends of the vehicle pulling, reduces wheelspin on snow, mud, or gravel, and stabilizes the SUV at speed. By balancing torque, it prevents stress on shafts, gears, and tires.

How it works 🛞

Inside are spider gears and a clutch/viscous pack. When one axle slips, friction builds and biases torque to the axle with grip. In normal turns it freewheels, so you get quiet, smooth cornering.

When it fails ⚠️

Signs include binding in tight turns, clunks, shudder, overheating smell, ABS/4WD lights, uneven tire wear, or poor launch on slick roads. Left unchecked, it can damage bearings, seals, and the transfer case.

Install notes 🔧

Direct‑fit, preassembled. Use new seals, check backlash, torque per manual, then fill with GL‑5 75W‑90. After installation, road‑test and verify no wind‑up or noise.
