Hydraulic Clutch Release Unit with Integrated Bearing ⚙️

Why you need it

It converts pedal force into hydraulic action to disengage the clutch cleanly. Without it working right, gears can grind, synchros wear fast, and driving comfort drops.

How it works

Press the pedal and the master cylinder sends fluid pressure to this unit. The internal piston pushes the bearing along the input shaft guide, lifting the pressure plate diaphragm. Release the pedal and the spring and hydraulic balance retract the bearing for proper free play.

If it fails ⚠️

Signs: soft or sinking pedal, fluid around the housing, noisy bearing, hard or notchy shifts, clutch slip, burning smell. Risks: incomplete disengagement, rapid disc wear, damaged gearbox synchros, or loss of drive.

Tech notes

Use fresh DOT 3/4 brake fluid, bleed all air, inspect fork/guide, lightly grease bearing contact face only, align and torque to spec. Do not drive with visible leaks.
