How it works ⚙️

A 12V DC motor turns a worm gear to reduce speed and boost torque. The output shaft moves the link rod, driving both wiper arms in a set arc. An internal park switch returns blades to the lower edge when you switch off. Speed is controlled by the stalk switch and relay/ECU for intermittent, low, and high modes.

What happens if it breaks ⚠️

Signs include slow or stuck wipers, random stops mid-sweep, no park, buzzing, blown fuses, or burning smell. Failure in rain can blind the driver, scratch glass if the linkage binds, and risk inspection failure.
