How It Works ⚙️

The power steering pump sends pressurized fluid through the steering system. After the fluid does its job, it passes through the cooler pipe section before returning to the reservoir. Airflow around the metal tube lowers the oil temperature naturally. This simple design helps reduce heat, pressure stress, and fluid foaming.

Signs of Failure 🚨

If this part is cracked, rusty, blocked, or leaking, the steering oil level may drop quickly. You may notice heavy steering, whining pump noise, burning oil smell, wet marks under the vehicle, or shaking while turning. Driving with a damaged cooler line can overheat the fluid and cause expensive power steering pump or gearbox failure.

Always check pipe fittings, rubber sections, and fluid condition during replacement. After fitting, bleed the steering system and use the correct power steering fluid for long service life.
